All the employees were consulted about new office. A lot of thought has gone into making it a great place to work. Lots of lovely surprises that come along the way. Perk box has been added to our list of our benefits recently. We had a chocolate fountain the other week. That can be from healthy breakfasts to Easter eggs and Advent calendars.Īt Christmas we got some vouchers to sort of spend in John Lewis. It’s not just all about work, there are lots of fun elements to SunLife as well. So I feel there's a sense of achievement and I can look back and I can quantify all of the things I've done here in the last few months. We have a big wall that sets out all of our priorities and we work through that. The team I'm in has a real 'can-do' attitude and we a real sense of 'togetherness' as well.
#SUN LIFE CAREERS TV#
I get to work on exciting projects like TV ads or printed material or digital comms, so for me it’s nice and broad. There's often a lot of secondments that go on. There's not a block on you like there would be in some corporate environments. If there's a project you want to get involved in you can. One of the great things of working at SunLife is we can collaborate with many different teams across the business. What I particularly like is working for a strong brand that's number one in it’s sector, and is a challenger brand in it’s other chosen markets.
#SUN LIFE CAREERS PROFESSIONAL#
We also get a lot of work done as well, so people are really professional at the same time. It’s non-hierarchical, it feels like it's an open door policy, so you can go in and talk to people whenever you want if you've got an idea. We’ve got a dress down policy, so within reason you can wear what you like. There's a real range of people - a mixture of ages. There's usually always somebody laughing around the office. If you’re having a tough day or what have you, there's always some great characters that you can go and have a conversation with and help you lift the mood.
Just from the moment that I walked into the offices you could tell it was a fun, friendly place to work – it had a real sort of character about it. The reason I chose Sunlife was obviously it's got a great reputation as a business. And if you’re hungry to grow, we’ll support personal and technical development for you.Īfter all, you could choose to work anywhere, right? We think the smart choice is SunLife. Every new starter at SunLife gets to have lunch with our CEO within the first 6 months of joining so there’s no chance of you not having a profile.
But we’re also passionate about Wellbeing which is why we invest time in supporting emotional as well as financial wellbeing.Īnd let’s talk about Induction. After all, happy people make happy customers … that’s why we hold lots of social events to get involved in including our Summer Event, Annual Conference, Bumbles and lots more. Investing in People is a no brainer at SunLife. We also go out of our way to make SunLife a fun and happy place to work: a great location in central Bristol, a modern and fresh working environment (yes, we actually have a tree in the middle of our kitchen!). We’re a passionate bunch who like to get involved and deliver great customer service.Ībove all else, we believe in the SunLife brand and what that means for our customers. Our ambition for ourselves and our customer is stretching, and there’s no better way to reflect that than the people who work here. But don’t let that mislead you when it comes to ambition! SunLife is a small business with around 100 people in our Bristol office.
